Basket centerpiece designed by the famous Aldo Tura for Macabo (Cusano Milanino) in the 1950s. This object is not a simple furnishing accessory, but a true sculpture that testifies to the high Milanese craftsmanship of the post-war period. Tura is known for the use of fine materials and organic shapes, and this basket is one of the most iconic examples, made of fine walnut wood, entirely hand-carved with a relief texture typical of Tura/Macabo production, internal finish bright red lacquered, which creates a vibrant color contrast, the handle is made of hand-braided brass, finished with the characteristic decorative knot on the top.
