Product Details

An original JAZ Transistor wall clock, made in France in the 1960s, featuring a striking decorative structure. Its most distinctive feature is the ornamental composition surrounding the dial: a succession of curved metal elements, spirals, and sinuous lines crafted from metal and burnished brass. The tapered ends and sweeping forms lend the object a strong decorative character, transforming it into a genuine piece of wall art. At the center lies the circular dial—protected by a domed, transparent cover—featuring a delicate ivory hue that contrasts elegantly with the dark outer structure. Below the center, the "JAZ Transistor" mark appears alongside the inscriptions "France" and "Lic. ATO," details confirming its French manufacture. The battery-operated movement, housed in a circular mount, is visible on the back, along with the wall-mounting mechanism. The metal structure retains a pleasing vintage patina, with color variations on the gold-toned sections that enhance the piece's authentic character. With its combination of a minimalist dial and elaborate metalwork, this clock is a compelling example of the era's design and is particularly well-suited to Mid-Century Modern interiors.
