Pair of THOSIBA SONOPLAN SS003-1970 speakers - Made in Argentina These speakers were made in the 70s by Thosiba by Y Bertagni, they use a vibrating panel technology (Electra-Piston) invented by Dr. Jose Bertagni, instead of the classic cone that moves back and forth, the entire front panel vibrates to emit the sound. Thanks to this structure, the sound spreads more evenly in the environment, similar to how an acoustic musical instrument would. It is this technology that has allowed Toshiba to create speakers so thin they look like modern works of art or folding screens. These pieces are considered collectibles for fans of interior design and vintage audio from the Space Age/Modern Era period.
